UPHEAVAL / scenario is an art project by visual artist Kerstin Bergendal. It responds to a public commission from the City of Gothenburg to create a new artwork for Götaplatsen, a physical addition to the existing artworks on the site. On this website, you can follow the different phases of the work from 2024 to 2028.

On the right, you’ll see two rows of images. Click on an image to see a text in which the artist shares something about the image. The top row shows fragments from archives, books, and research. The bottom row follows the artist as she moves through the city, including short videos about people she has met along the way.
